October 6, 2008: The Georgia home Furnishings Association held our 2008 Annual Fall Golf Tournament on Monday, October 6^th at the Reunion Golf Club in Hoschton, Georgia (near Chateau Elan). While the golf tournament was a fun day, at the same time, it fit into a larger workforce development initiative the Association has underway across the state.

The golf tournament was hosted by the association’s Resort Activities Committee. This group is represented by Joel Jackson, McNeilly Champion and Ultra Shield, Bill Minchew, Hekman / Woodmark and French Heritage, and David Renkes, Lexington Home Brands, Uwharrie Chair Company, Nautica, Liz Clairborne, Trump Home and Tommy Bahama. In cooperation with the members of the Association’s Board of Directors, these gentlemen play a major role in helping to insure the tournament’s success.

March 31, 2008: The Georgia home Furnishings Association is proud to say that our 2008 Annual Spring Golf Outing on Monday, March 31^st at the River Forest Golf Club in Forsyth, Georgia was a tremendous success. With almost 50 golfers present, the day began with a light lunch and then a mad rush to "tee" off the afternoon properly.
