April 13, 2012: You are invited to participate in the Georgia home Furnishings Annual Spring Golf Tournament.  While the golf tournament represents a fun day, at the same time, it fits into a larger workforce development initiative the Association has underway across the state.  The GhFA has negotiated a discounted room rate with Lake Lanier Islands at The Legacy Lodge & Conference Center starting at $149 per night for both Thursday and/or Friday night stays.  Contact The Legacy Lodge & Conference Center at (770) 945-8787 and ask for the "Georgia home Furnishings Association" rate.  Plan to arrive early and practice before the 12:30 pm shotgun start.  The day’s Awards Presentation begins immediately following play.

The golf tournament is hosted by the association’s Resort Activities Committee.  This group is represented by Joel Jackson, McNeilly Furniture, Ultra Shield & Rizzy Home, Bill Minchew, Hekman / Woodmark and French Heritage, and David Renkes, Vaughan Furniture, Pulaski Furniture, Uwharrie Chair Company & Rhythm Clocks.  In cooperation with the members of the Association’s Board of Directors, these gentlemen play a major role in helping to insure the tournament’s success.
