Membership Pledge

  If admitted to membership in the Georgia Home Furnishings Association I am honor bound to respect this pledge. I pledge to treat customers, clients and employees with integrity and fairness and to make honesty the foundation of my business. I will support this association and our sponsors with enthusiasm, and I will work to assure the comfort of my customers by embracing technology, adhering to this pledge and working by the code of ethics.

  Representative's Code of Ethics

• I will truly and conscientiously represent our factories and suppliers with due consideration to the rights of our competitors and their representatives.
• I will not take advantage of personal relationships with customers or buyers to interfere or interrupt when another salesperson is engaged in an interview. Neither will I seek any undo advantage by reason of my relationships to the detriment of a colleague.
• I will not solicit nor accept representation of any furniture or kindred line actively represented in the Georgia territory without first consulting said salesperson.
• I will not disturb the dignity of procedure with the inciting of false reports that might unjustly reflect upon the reputation of a competitor or dealer.
• I invite full cooperation of manufacturer, retailers, vendors and members of the profession to help make this "Code of Ethics" effective.
